Stay And Play Session With PATH Ed UK

Today we had a stay and play session and were joined by Claire Sell who demonstrated a PATHS session (PATHSEdUK | Belfast | Facebook).

The children always thoroughly enjoy their visits from Miss Claire and especially Twiggle (the turtle) and his friends. PATHS is a Social and Emotional Learning Programme delivered by Barnardo's UK aimed at giving the children the skills they need to develop. It focuses on social skills, emotional understanding, social problem solving and self-control. Every child gets an opportunity to be helper of the day throughout the year. They then become Miss Claire’s special helper which the children really enjoy!

Following this parents were able to have a play with their children where there were many activities set up to enjoy together. We were lucky enough to finish the morning with an Easter egg hunt where the children had to look for clues and were rewarded with an Easter egg for all their hard work.
